The open road and the outdoors go hand in hand. Same is true with RV lovers and camping enthusiasts. Owning an RV is pretty exciting. You get to bring all the comforts of home with you while enjoying the open road and outdoors, too.

Before you head out in the road, you need to be sure first that your RV is properly cared for and is well maintained. Here are a number of checklists that you need test out to ensure that your RV is road worthy: cooling/heating maintenance, wind protection, battery condition, hot water tank cleaning, engine and drive train repairs, exterior cleaning, holding tank and furnace, moisture buildup, water care and winter storage. Your RV is you and your family’s home away from home. You should give it ample care and maintenance.

Upon arriving at your RV Park and heading out for camping, you need to make certain that you have all what you need. Check and double check all your supplies. When going camping outdoors, it is very important that you have the right tent that will fit your headcount. All food supplies should be well packed and never throw away leftovers as this attract bears, coyotes, and other wild animals. For more protection, have a hunting dagger handy just in case. Check all the batteries of your GPS, flashlights, and other electronic equipment. Be sure that you have the proper gears and attires to be ready once you head out. You’ll never know when a need may arise and it is always best to be ready in case of emergencies.
